Our
Story
GET TO KNOW US
The dream started in 2000 when our Founder & CEO Sharon Y. Williams had a conversation with a few mentors of hers, who are judges that she sat on a college legal advisory board with, about how complicated the legal system is for the common lay person. They suggested since she was always giving people free referrals, guidance, and directions about the legal industry that she should one day consider being a legal consultant. Strongly thinking about their suggestion, she continued learning more about how she could use her knowledge, education, and experience to one day become a legal consultant. One day while attending a family law class at night, her professor made a comment and told her how she should consider writing an inspirational book because he saw how influential she was with her classmates and because of her passion for the law, she should also consider doing some type of legal mentoring. Well, she did write the inspirational novel as suggested, but she still couldn’t figure out how to be a legal mentor or consultant. Then in 2019, Sharon’s law firm approached her about creating a new position for her that was new to law firms. Her performance reviews kept saying her analytical and research skills were exemplary so firm wanted her to help create a job description for herself for a new position entitled Legal Analyst. Loving using these two skills when she obtained her science degree, it was a perfect fit not only for the newly created role, but for a future consultant role. Thus December 14, 2022, SY Williams Consulting Firm, L.L.L.P. was created.

We Are Different Because
We are different because we have years of experience in a multitude of areas such as: Corporate, Real Estate, Franchising, Bankruptcy, and Intellectual Property (Trademark & Copyright – Prosecution and Litigation). Our stance regarding Corporate Community Citizenship is very important to us. This refers to a company’s responsibilities towards society, producing higher standards of living and quality of life for communities and still maintain profitability. Our founder’s entire adult life has been dedicated to the community and has and still is leading by example. She started out as a hospital volunteer aka candy striper at 13. She became a teen mentor at 18 and has been mentoring ever since. In 2017, she went back to her high school alma mater Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh, PA, and helped a fellow classmate friend fulfill his dream by creating a foundation that would give the high school students scholarships to go to college and she served as the President of the foundation. In 2021, she went back to her high school to mentor, and ended up in charge of the school’s mentoring program for two years and served on the Board of Directors. In 2020, back in Atlanta, she volunteered to be a mentor for the Truancy Intervention Project (“TIP”) whose motto is “Breaking Barriers, Building Futures”, which was created in 1992 by Judge Glenda Hatchett and Attorney Terry Walsh to mitigate truancy and chronic absenteeism in Fulton County. Their mission is to increase student attendance and opportunities for success through legal and family advocacy. TIP is uniquely dedicated exclusively to arresting school truancy. Through their continued partnerships with Atlanta Public Schools, Fulton County Schools, and the Fulton County Juvenile Court, TIP promotes the importance of school attendance among students and their families and intervenes directly with students who are truant or at risk of becoming truant. First year in the program, Sharon was the 2020 Recipient of the Honorable Glenda Hatchett Volunteer of The Year Award. We support the Education & Opportunity Fund Program, which donates money to various organizations that prepares our youths for the future such as teaching them how to build wealth, and learn current technology to be competitive for the future. A former Girl Scout Troop Leader, she values giving girls ways to learn about team work, togetherness and leadership. As a leader being a team player with you, Sharon and her team will work with all resources available for the end results you requested.
